HENDERSON, NV –December 11, 2012 – Months of planning, coordinating and energy paid off in a big way for members of The Disque Foundation. The foundation’s first annual trip wrapped up on Saturday, after a week spent near Cartago, Costa Rica.

The Disque Foundation is built on a mission to further health education to developing communities throughout the globe. The primary purpose of the trip was to provide Basic Life Support and CPR lessons to local members of the Costa Rican community. Upon arriving in Cartago, they found an additional way to contribute. During down time from teaching, members of the foundation spent all waking hours at the Pueblito de Costa Rica Orphanage. While at Pueblito, the members assisted with construction projects, teaching English, participating in activities with the children and even teaching CPR and First Aid to a few eager learners.

"It was a great experience to spend time both teaching and at the orphanage," John Lustig, a Trustee for the Disque Foundation, said. "Spending time with all of those kids made the trip unforgettable for everyone involved." Lustig is also the CEO of National Health Care Provider Solutions (NHCPS), a partnering organization for the trip.
